Mr. Josephat K. Kemboi

Mr. Josephat K. Kemboi has more than six (6) years of experience in social inclusion, social work and community development.
He is the Founder and Director at Shiriki Action which aims to foster sustainable community development by promoting social inclusion and participation in development processes. He serves to champion policies and actions that promote citizen’s participation in the decision-making processes that promotes transparency, accountability and sustainability of development initiatives.
He is also the Co-founder and senior project manager at Leap Empowerment Development Initiative Kenya (LEDI-Kenya), a grassroots community-based organization focusing on interventions in food and nutrition security, youth, women, and children empowerment; business training (including agribusiness) and environmental conservation.
Kemboi also has more than five (5) years' experience as a HIV/AIDs expert officer focusing on the preventive measures, adherence and retention of patients and social work. Kemboi holds a bachelor's degree in Community Resource Management and Extension from Kenyatta University, Nairobi Kenya as well as executive education programmes Project Management Institute.
He is committed to representing the voice of the voiceless, and partnering with communities to help them lead highly dignified lives. As a board member, he continues promoting environmental sustainability and helping communities, especially those in marginalized areas to promote their participation and inclusion, and expanding organization into an international non- governmental organization so its solutions can reach more people.
